7.72 miles, 1:00:14

Time to crank up the mileage. The park was sunny towards the panhandle and foggy out at the ocean. Very pleasant running conditions. I wore an Iliotibial band compression wrap for the first time. I stupidly put it on the right leg first because I was afraid that leg was becoming inflicted by ITBS as […]

An enjoyable run excluding the sand I managed to dump into my shoes right at the start. I wandered into an area where some homeless folks had made camp and so to give them their privacy I redirected down a steep, sandy trail and ended up with a shoe full of sand at the end. […]

Early evening run in the park. I couldn’t manage to find a trail today to save my life. Usually I have a route that takes me along a nice, woodland path and avoids much of the asphalt. But today I got off course and spent much of the time on the pavement. My legs did […]

Update: The photos are up on flickr now including photos of the new deYoung museum under construction.
More photo taking today, this time in Golden Gate park. I think I have enough photos to make the rotation in the header of this blog interesting enough for the time being. All of the photos will eventually be […]

The Forerunner missed a full 10 minutes of running so judging by my route I think I did more like 5 miles today. Unfortunately, that is a bit more than I should have been doing today. This will in turn make me sore tomorrow when I am supposed to run longer (according to my training […]

Probably went out a little too fast but, the first mile was all down hill to Ocean Beach. Knee felt a little stiff afterwards but I also felt like I could have run longer, which is good because I am supposed to tomorrow.
I tried for the first time to use the Garmin Forerunner 201 to […]

Figuring out more of the trails but still got cut off a few times. Crazy weather today. Rain, sun, clouds, rain, sun, clouds.

Rain and strong winds. First day with the iPod Shuffle. Very cool. Bruises from bike riding for the first time in a long time yesterday slowed me down a bit.

Feet hurt a bit today after the run. Stopped to watch some soccer. The park was very full. It was sunny but kind of chilly. A blustery spring day.

5.76+ miles, 60 mins

Sunday, February 27th, 2005

Rained the entire time and I kept getting off the nice trails and onto hard pavement. Per usual the GPS took a while to get sorted and so I think I went close to 6 miles. Down to the buffalo and back to the bowling green. I even remembered to set navigation points this time.
