When my training book says “get used to running on tired legs” I now have a good idea of what they mean. The IT band hurts post-run but, during I was mostly okay. Unfortunately, I didn’t set out on a very interesting course (out and back on the Embarcadero) so I ended up returning too early and then did laps of little dog park. After a few laps I decided to stop a little short of 10 miles. The park is very small.
Despite being very sore it is encouraging to get back up to around 10 miles. I just need to plan my route a bit better.
