I am bib #22330 on Sunday. Also of note: soccer. Not the best warm up for a running race. I took a ball point blank to the side of the leg which left a nice round bruise on my right knee. I also picked up a knock on the left knee. I would not recommend soccer two days before a race. In fact, even 10 days before the race. The last game I played also had casualties. The left lens of my glasses split in half when I tried to head the ball with the bridge of my nose. My soccer technique leaves much to be desired. Soccer is a ton of fun however and I’ll definitely be playing more in the future.
Unfortunately, I won’t have my glasses back from repair in time for Sunday’s race. If you see me, I’m afraid I won’t be able to see you back (at least, not clearly). If you are running the race, when you are about half way through mile 23 (mile 10 for us half folks) you can wave to my house. The cat and girlfriend will be out front waving back.
